Highlights

Creation is movement. This month at Moon, we celebrate forward progress on a variety of essential aspects of the project and we take time to rest and celebrate the Moon Construction team who are essential to achieving that progress.

In these monthly updates, we have bravely shown a behind the scenes look at the messy process of creation. The beauty of the process is watching new structures emerge from emptiness and rough edges become smoothed, polished, painted, and covered through consistent and constant effort. Momentum, the force that keeps a project like this going, is a consequence of movement. However, at Moon, we also embrace rest. Without rest, constant movement results in burnout. So, in the midst of the building, painting, cleaning, tile and stone work, we have been intentional about encouraging the Moon team to rest and recharge when needed. However, we were very happy to enjoy a Labor Day lunch with members of the Moon Construction team who so kindly chose to spend their day off with the team.

As we excitedly move closer to finishing the construction at Moon, we reflect on the ways that movement and rest have powered this process. Similar to the story of creation in the book of Genesis, we hope that you may be inspired to celebrate what you have made and also embrace rest.
