A message from Selena Sage

The journey to complete Moon has been depicted in these updates as one of steady progress. While that is true, the progress has been the result of the relentless determination of Moon’s founder, Paolo. As the one who has been privileged to witness the power of his determination, unbeknownst to Paolo, I will be sharing a few personal photos and stories from behind the scenes to highlight another dimension of the journey to Moon becoming what it is today.

Before pivoting to independently managing the construction process mid-2024, a large builder on the island was hired to construct Moon. July 2023 is when the project was contractually scheduled to be completed.

Despite significant delays, Paolo has always remained focused on moving forward and has maintained the daily habit of being at the construction site for (at least) the full day with the workers to guide and support the work, in addition to inspecting the materials and progress.

It has been inspiring to watch Paolo dream the project into existence and then relentlessly work to make it a reality. Paolo is known for always being kind and respectful to all members of the Moon Construction team, and he’s also also quick to roll up his sleeves and jump in to help.

With thoughtful consideration and attention to every detail, Moon is because of Paolo’s focus and determination. It has been my honor to have a front row seat to this process and I am also thankful to Paolo for his patient leadership and the trust and support he has placed in me to help create the special space that Moon continues to become.
