At Moon, every detail is added with deep intention and careful attention. This month, the focus at Moon has been about reimagining open spaces. From designing and starting construction on a new suite to creating a new concrete floor, mathematics has been at the forefront of every discussion and decision at Moon. After considering many different options for completing outdoor flooring, Moon founder Paolo became inspired to incorporate the Golden Ratio, closely tied with the Fibonacci sequence, into the Moon outdoor flooring on the pool level.

The Golden Ratio (approximately 1.618) is also called the Divine Proportion, and it’s observed in natural phenomena like the spiral patterns of seashells and branching of trees. Using this ratio, Moon’s founder measured the open space and designed the pattern and corresponding proportions for an iron stamp that he then had custom made for the concrete. Integrating this design at Moon has added an unexpected dimension to the space that is both visually appealing and inspired by the nature that surrounds Moon.

A way that the Moon team practices mindfulness is by looking deeply into details that often go overlooked. One way to incorporate this practice is to take a short walk and shift your attention from your thoughts and ideas to the natural elements around you.
