July Entryway

Highlights
The complexity involved in creating and completing the outer wall at Moon is symbolic of the attention to detail and craftsmanship of the entire project. An entrance is a gateway to a new experience, and as we finalize the Moon construction, it is fitting that completing the entryway moves us closer to opening Moon.
Instead of simply smoothing the original concrete outer wall to create a finished surface, Moon’s founder saw the rough surface as a blank canvas — an opportunity to create a new experience. Starting with stone chiseled from a mountain by a local artisan, the Moon team then formed each rock by hand to create every stone wall at Moon. The result of this difficult and labor intensive process is a special grounding, artistic, and spiritual experience at Moon. No two stones are the same, and touching the stone walls is like touching the mountain from which they were sourced. When entering Moon through the stone entryway, there is a distinct feeling of leaving the mundane and stepping into a sacred, special space that embodies the surrounding nature of the island.
Taking extra steps to create unqiue experiences is often difficult to quantify and justify, as these additional measures always take more time and investment. However, at Moon, we are continually guided by the question: What is the resulting experience? Our goal remains the same — to create the ideal place for you to rest, relax, and recharge. We look forward to welcoming you to Moon very soon!
