The land acquired for Moon on the island of Santo Antão, Cabo Verde was originally terraced for growing sugarcane. On the island, sugarcane is primarily used to make the Cabo Verdean moonshine, a strong alcohol called grogue.

Moon was created for peace. The land is located on the oceanfront in the city of Paúl, backed by mountains.

At Moon, the soothing sound of waves echos off of the mountains, and the moonlight can be seen shimmering on the Atlantic ocean at night.
