June Evolution
Highlights
At Moon, we embrace the spirit of continuous improvement. While this has been evident during the construction process, it has also been true in the behind-the-scenes design work, led by the creative imagination of the Moon founder. With our thanks to you for walking with us on this journey, this month we are going to open the curtain to share the evolution of the Moon design.
After first conceptualizing the initial concept for a resort space, the Moon founder made the pivotal decision to support the local economy by hiring a young architect from the area of Paúl, where the project would be built. Even after extensive discussions and sketches, the resulting design was more reflective of the contemporary box-like structures seen around the island. However, with patience and considerable creative guidance from the Moon founder, the design was continuously improved to become the stand-out project that it is today.
The Taoist master Lao Tzu famously said that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and Malcolm Gladwell (in his book “Outliers”) famously claimed that it takes 10,000 hours to achieve mastery. As we reflect on the tens of thousands of hours the Moon founder has spent contemplating the design and observing and guiding the construction process on a daily basis, it becomes clear that the details of the project reflect his passionate dedication to make Moon the ideal space to rest, relax, and recharge.
We remain excited to share this special space with you soon, and we hope that you are similarly inspired to take cues from nature as you create. Every step matters, and every moment is an opportunity to redefine and actualize your dream. We look forward to seeing you at Moon!
