August Advances

Highlights
Hello again! The nine months between updates is symbolic as we paused to welcome a new addition to the Moon family, appropriately born during a supermoon. Fortunately, we were back in time to celebrate Cabo Verde’s historic World Cup run and move forward with finalizing construction at Moon.
Just as we celebrated the Blue Sharks advancing to the knockout round, at Moon we are happy to be knocking out the final phase of construction! Completing property boundaries has created more privacy and energetic separation — walls can also be helpful to keep the good energy in. And customizing the kitchen with concrete foundation, later to be covered, has created future workspace for cooking. We are also in the process of completing electrical work, wood work, and installing all of the bathroom materials (toilets, showers, sinks, and hot water heaters) in each of the five Moon bungalows.
Each step requires an enormous amount of preparation and effort, and is made more complicated by being on a remote island. However, these challenges are precisely why Cabo Verde was the Cinderella story of the World Cup…and why Santo Antão is also usually described as the most beautiful island of Cabo Verde. The remoteness of the island makes Santo Antão, and particularly Paúl — where Moon is located — a peaceful, pollution-free paradise with natural hikes and scenic vistas.
We are doing our best to open Moon in the coming months to be the place where you come to rest, relax, and recharge. So, as we move toward the finish line, we look forward to welcoming you at Moon very soon!
