January Light
Highlights
A new year always feels like a fresh start, and this month we’ve been saying that we’re seeing the light at Moon — both literally and figuratively! Moon was always meant to shine, and after considerable reflection and research, we decided not to cover the Moon bungalows with gray stone. Instead, we are making a natural limestone-based paint (see video below) — with our own signature Moon recipe — that was traditionally used to paint homes on the island and dates back centuries to ancient Roman times. Limewash paint is naturally brilliantly white, highly breathable, non-toxic, and eco-friendly.
By keeping things light at Moon, we take a more playful, experimental approach. Seeing the light is clarity — we see the path with hopeful expectation. And by walking in the light, we take thoughtful steps, seeking to embody the highest standards with quality materials and integrity. This way of being is present in every detail of Moon, and in the care with which the Moon team is constructing the physical forms. As the first coats of natural paint are being added, everything at Moon feels more bright and so we know that we are headed in the right direction.
We wish you a wonderful new year and we look forward to having your light at Moon!
